Doonagore Castle, Doolin Clare

Doonagoore Castle was founded by Teigue MacTurlough MacCon O'Connor during the 14th century. It was granted to Turlough O'Brien in 1582. Today Radio na Gaeltachta has a mast two miles above the castle's position and along with Doonagore Castle is used as a navigational point for boatmen bringing craft into Doolin Pier.
